As Managing Director of the company Phil Rogers brings a wealth of successful television production and business management skills to the company. Starting in the early days of New Zealand television in the 1960s as a Film Editor his career has included production on a wide range of programmes and he was responsible for the creation of NZ's largest moving-image library - the
NZ Television Archive which houses most of New Zealand’s unique footage including rare maori taonga complete with a state-of-the-art computerised database for easy access.
He has served on the Executive Council of the International Federation of Television Archives
(FIAT)
and chaired the Asia-Pacfic Broadcasting Union
(ABU) Engineering Committee for Radio and Television archiving as well as receiving television production and film editing craft awards during his career. He also won awards for skiing programmes he produced.
In the mid 1990s Phil joined
Saturn Communications Cable television company as the Television Manager. He acquired and set up channels including the local community station "ONTV" and the popular local sports
channel production as well as expanding the satellite channels as the company viewer base grew.
His recent work has included web-site design and maintenance, the production of promotional DVDs and the development and scripting of up-coming television productions.
